But the best part is its interior:
The impressive pastel color jungle murals and hand-tiled terrazzo flooring make the space into an Instagrammers’ Heaven
This is interesting, Neon Palms actually is the sister of its neighbouring cafe: Sea Circus. No wonder the quality of the foods are as excellent, especially the tacos and tapas!
Best spots to take Instagrammable Photos:
The Neon Pink bench in front of the Cafe and inside the cafe in front of the pastel pattern background wall.
As we all know, the color of the year is Pink! Most of the new hip cafe and restaurant apply at least a hint of pink color or accent in its decor.
And Fat Mermaid in Canggu did it in an elegant way.
As soon as you step into the restaurant, you will be welcomed by Fat Mermaid bright pink neon light that protrude out of the impressive floor to ceiling vertical garden. This is clearly the most popular photo spot in Fat Mermaid, beside the Pink Bar.
While you are in Fat Mermaid, you should try their fusion food that merge Indonesian traditional food with Western techniques. Try the Gado-Gado and tell my how you love it later.
Are you looking for the most whimsical and vintage beach club to watch the sunset in Canggu?
It would be La Brisa. This dreamy club that just opened this year is managed by the same team who operate La Favela, La Plancha and La Laguna. So you might expect the same quality of vibe and menu as their other establishment.
Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit along, you can expect memorable time in their oversize pool while waiting for the gorgeous sun to set.
Let me take a wild guess:
You must love the idea to spend some time inside a boutique cafe with a small shop selling unique bohemian home decor.
Don’t worry, once you are done from Neon Palms, just walk 50 meters and you will find a Monochromatic Mediterranean cafe called KIM SOO.
The cafe is really cozy and serve one of the best cakes in Bali, try it!
While you wait for your order, you can browse through its collection of homewares and souvenirs which are for sale. My bet is you will spend more than you expect!
There are Instagrammable spots just behind the store featuring iconic stairs and pools. Don’t forget to take a selfie in these spots.
Best spots to take Instagrammable Photos:
At the front porch of the cafe or at the back of the store, where there is a small pool and white stairs (almost like those in Santorini).
Imagine what it would be like jumping from a 5 meter platform into the salt-water pool at Mrs Sippy..
It will be your most memorable things to do in Bali! You are welcome.
Mrs Sippy is originated in Sydney. After their success, it expanded into Bali, bringing their best food and ambience concept. The Pizzas are definitely a must try.
Now, it’s already become one of the most popular hang out place in Bali
Please note, if you wish to plunge into the pool, you will have to pay IDR 100,000 for towel use.
Craving for Italian food and yet still want to take great vacation selfie? You likely will love Da Maria.
The modern Italian restaurant is decorated with stripes of light blue and white wall which enhanced with iconic yellow color seats.
Da Maria highlights the diversity of Italian food, wine, music, fashion, art and friends, with more than a little Capri in the heart of Seminyak.
On your way to Mrs Sippy, you will pass through an eye-catching nautical theme beach bar.
Apart from its cheeky play on words, Sea Vu Play also offers a really unique experience by creating maritime style decor that not only cozy but also provide lots of spots for Instagram posts.
Sea Vu Play is great place to hang out with groups of friends as the served lots of share plates menu from grilled seafoods to pizza and even drink pitchers.
The best time to visit Sea Vu Play is after sunset as the space is transformed by the presence of hanging light bulbs which bring out the romantic ambience.
A new addition to many of the vegetarian restaurant in Bali, but Bali Bola is special in two ways.
Firstly, you will be amazed by its facade and interior decor that are blanketed with soft pastel colours.
But here is the best part, Bali Bola paid super special attention into their food plating.
Our jaws are literally dropped from seeing their food menu showcases. They colors of the ingredients are arranged harmoniously and making each menu very instagrammable.
On top of that, the quality of each food are definitely top-notched. This is a must-not-missed cafe for all vegetarian visiting Bali.
You’ve probably seen the insta-famous pink coffee in Bali, but does it taste as good as its appearance?
The truth is it does taste good! Well in fact, I do think they serve really good coffee at Coffee Cartel.
This is cool: you can print your name or design on your cappuccino!
But that’s not all, there food are worth to try as well. Especially if you are on keto diet, a friend of mine swore that their Cauliflower Rice is amazing!
Well if the cafe is mentioned in this article, that means it also provide photogenic corners. There is a pink mural that everyone is taking selfies on.
If you don’t have enough time to go to both Bali Bola and Coffee Cartel, then you probably just need to visit KYND Community.
This cafe combines the gorgeous artistic plating of Bali Bola and the thematic pink tableware and interior.
But that’s not all, KYND also only serve vegetarian food. Don’t miss out on their famous Alphabet smoothie bowl, you can request the letters to be placed on the smoothie bowl.
You must be wondering what does Titik Temu means? Its kind of a catchy name but hard to pronounce.
Well, in Indonesian language its translated into Place for Meeting.
Just as the name states, Titik Temu is a great place for group of friends to meet up for coffee, food and live music.
The stage like seating is great for selfies and cozy enough to enjoy an evening filled with great music and company.
Oh here’s more, there are some boutique stores outside of Titik Temu which sell cute accessories and dresses.
What you get when a designer superstar married an international model and build their own dream project in Bali?
You’re dead right! The power couple build one of Bali most artistic accommodation space with a little artisanal cafe serving delicious gourmet bites. They named it The Slow.
The rough industrial cafe is decorated with wooden accents and the iconic hanging plants. One-of-a-kind artworks and collectibles add a premium aesthetic to the cafe.
Now, the best part is the food. Each menu is served with the best ingredient quality and presented in an attractive plating design.
Don’t worry, this eccentric Columbian themed establishment has no relationship with the kingpin drug cartel Pablo Escobar (even if you may seen lots of his photos here).
The design of Pablo’s Canggu is in fact inspired by the cafes and restaurants in the street of Medelin where Pablo Escobar used to live. Colorful tiles and pastel color paints successfully recite the lively vibe of Colombia.
Don’t miss out on their Columbian street food menu and Pizzas, they are amazing!
One of the prettiest cafe in Canggu, Folie Patisserie is one that should not be missed if you love French food and pastries.
The charming tropical mural will welcome you as you step into the cafe.
There’s a Instagram candy semi outdoor area which is decorated with pink walls, hanging pots of plants and pastel blue sofas.
Let’s not forget: the name include Patisserie for one reason, it does serve mouth watering pastries and sweets. My favourite is the Ham & Cheese Croissant!
Who doesn’t love the iconic white and light blue houses in Santorini?
Well, Canggu has its own Santorini-inspired cafe called Panama Kitchen & Pool. It’s unquestionably quirky and Instagram-able for a cafe in Bali, that’s why the place is crowded with customers coming for a quick snap at the Aegean Greek house.
The pool is not the largest around Canggu, but it’s absolutely cozy. Bring floaties and you’ll get the perfect holiday photo for your feed.
Parachute is a new addition to Canggu already bustling cafe and restaurant strips. But here’s what make Parachute a unique compared to its competitor.
They nailed their location which is really calm and quiet in the middle of the rice field.
As the name applies, you will find an enormous vintage parachute-like tent that floats above the timber decking where everyone can relax and dine peacefully.
The seatings are really unique as each tables has different experience of seating.
There’s more, as the sun set, the dim hanging light bulbs transform the restaurant into a perfect space for romantic dinner or intimate friends gathering.
Similar to La Brisa, La Laguna offer a beachfront cafe with rustic and vintage decor that is unquestionably instagenic.
You can feel the gypsy and boho-chic vibe all around the cafe area. There are garden areas equipped with quirky bohemian caravan and decor which is everyone’s favorite.
My favorite is their alfresco dining area where you can seat on huge round pillows with group of friends. But the seat overlooking the beach is amazing as well.
While waiting for your order, you should stroll to the wooden bridge leading to the Kayu Putih Beach. The bridge is really iconic and a great addition to your photo collection.
When in Bali, you’ll need to dine next to the rice fields at least once.
I’ll be honest, Milu by NOOK is probably one of the best choice if you want to be accompanied by the rice fields view during your lunch.
Their open space wooden rustic restaurant offers a wide variety of food from Indonesian Nasi Campur to healthy Smoothie Bowl and Kombucha.
Similar to KIM SOO, Milu also features variety of homeware and dining ware items for sales. So, while waiting for your food, it’s a good idea to browse around and take a few selfie while you’re at it.
Another hidden gem for Instagram addict is the Folk Pool and Garden in Ubud. The entrance is tucked between shopfronts which make the cafe a little hard to find.
But you’ll be amazed once you reach inside Folk Ubud. The center of attention is the pool and its rustic poolside Cabana. As a matter of fact, the groove music brings additional unique vibe to the place.
Things to note though, you’ll need to spend at least IDR 250.000 to use the daybed. But, I bet you will spend more than that as the food here are appetizing and vegan friendly!
As you might have guess, you will not find many cafes with modern design in Ubud. You will find lots of creative thematic cafe with environmentally conscious design instead.
Let’s look at another example: Kebun Bistro.
The charming cafe has undoubtedly influenced by European style decor, from the architecture to its decor and furniture. The earth-coated walls combined with chandeliers make the space seem rustic yet elegant.
Check this out: Kebun serves one of the best Mediterranean cuisine and wine in Ubud. If you are on honeymoon in Ubud, it’s a great idea to have a romantic candlelight dinner in Kebun.
Remember how I mentioned most Ubud’s Cafes are eco-friendly and environmentally concious?
Here is another environmentally friendly Instagram paradise for selfie seekers in Ubud: The Lazy Cat.
Being one of Ubud’s hidden gem cafe, you will not expect to find the stairs leading to the cafe to be tucked between random buildings.
But, once you set foot, you will instantly feel the great ambiance from the Industrial bohemian decor, lush vegetation and vintage furniture. The space is unique in its own way.
While you are busy taking photos for your instagram, make sure you don’t disturb the many expatriate regulars that come to Lazy Cat for remote working.
