The Most Breathtaking Wedding Venues in Bali

Last Updated: 1 May 2019

by: Amina Poole

A destination wedding can be one of the most beautiful events in one’s life that celebrates the love between two souls in a place of incredible beauty.

This sees people going all over the world at unimaginably beautiful locations to mark the day they say “I Do” to the love of their life.

I’ve always thought that more than just beautiful wedding photoshoots, the aura of these destinations is exactly what can make you feel the raw emotion of eternal love. That is the whole point of a wedding ceremony after all!

And one such place that I can personally vouch for is Bali. The small island province of Indonesia that is known as the Land of the Gods, for good reasons.

Held in a loving embrace by the Indian Ocean lying on all sides of it, Bali opens a number of fascinating wedding venue resorts situated at dazzling beaches and clifftops. Or overlooking lush green rice fields!

Hi, I’m Amina, and I’m a fashion-designer specializing in bridal-attire. And my profession takes me all over the world to scenic destination weddings for custom-fitting purposes.

And this is what I have collected on my trips to Bali for you!

Bali Wedding Venues with Chapel

Majestic Chapel

at Ritz Carlton Bali Nusa Dua

To start off my list of wedding chapels in Bali, I would hands down place the Majestic Chapel at Ritz Carlton, located in Nusa Dua, at the very top of it all.

Reason? For starters, the structure is the view of the sparkling Indian Ocean from the glass-lit interiors of the Majestic Chapel feels and looks like almost the paradise that you’ve been looking for to get married!

To add to that almost quaking feeling of immense love, the entrance to this displays two rings that are interlinked to form the symbol of eternity.

The Cliff Lawn of the place can accommodate up to 600 people. The view from this portion had especially struck me when I had first visited the place for a client. And I can guarantee you that it will take immense will power to even remove your eyes from the beauty it opens up for everyone.

The open-air location situated in front of Senses is the All Day Dining Restaurant that offers accommodations for wedding events for up to 400 people.

Other attractions include:

  • Spectacular meeting and conference venues for social events
  • A serene spa that offers Balinese treatments
  • Plush villas having butler service and private pools
  • Locally sourced cuisine and oceanfront dining

Eternity Chapel

at The Mulia Bali Nusa Dua

To put it simply-the Eternity Chapel located at The Mulia in Nusa Dua, Bali redefines the term “beauty” in every way. It is actually a floating chapel made entirely of glass that is situated beneath an endless ring of specially hand-crafted crystal chandelier which stands as the eternal symbol of love. The entire structure, as I’ve seen it, has the dazzling ‘Mulia Lake’ enveloping it on all sides.

I had personally visited the place on one of my assignments, which had been so hectic and demanded for me to be on my toes at all times. However, even mid-work I could not help myself get drawn to this beautiful place. This is actually the largest chapel in Bali that can accommodate up to 200 people per ceremony.

One of the most impressive things about the Eternity Chapel is its set punctuality. A wedding couple is allowed to use the place for one hour which is set 45 minutes before the ceremonial schedule. The chapel offers 5 wedding slots. Food and beverages are not allowed inside though.

The Eternity at The Mulia offers the Grand Ballroom for bigger events and the Junior Ballroom for smaller-sized ceremonies.

at Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali

The Banyan Tree Ungasan opens up the marvelous wedding chapel of the White Dove that I have had the opportunity of visiting on a work-trip. One of the coolest benefits of being a fashion designer is being called to custom fit a bridal attire directly at the wedding venue, and this is how I had ended up at White Dove Chapel.

Designed by the esteemed Indonesian architect, Sardjono Sani, the White Dove Chapel is designed with 300 ornamental white doves that cover the entire structure. This signifies the 4 ideals of love-purity, peace, love, and eternal matrimonial bliss! It is located about 70 meters above the sea level, stretching from the cliff edge and seems to be almost floating on the water.

The pure-white and glass interior of the chapel presents an enchanting view of the dazzling blue ocean. The bride, her maids, and the guests have to arrive via a white walkaway which looks like it’s hovering above the pools that are located around it.
